As I’ve told you on Twitter and Instagram I’ve been to Paris (again ;-)) last weekend. We usually visit Paris a few times per year as it is only five hours away by car. Sometimes if we need a time out we book a hotel, jump in our car and drive to the French capital. That’s cool because I’m not the biggest fan of planes and if I have a choice I always take the car or a train. But if flying is the only option to get to cities like Rome, New York or Los Angeles I do it although I never feel very comfortable up in the air.

So when we go to Paris of couse we go and see the main sights like the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame but I’m always looking for new things to do and new places to explore. I’ve read about the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition and as a huge fan of fashion I was pretty excited to see some of Gaultier’s dresses with my own eyes (not only on TV or on photos in magazines). As you know Karl Lagerfeld is my biggest fashion hero. His work is just incredible his dresses so classic and chic. You can read more about the last Karl Lagerfeld exhibition I went to here. But now let me tell you about the Gaultier exhibition. Jean Paul Gaultier is famous for his extravagant style. Some of his dresses are special and unique but also a bit strange. His ideas are great but not for everybody’s taste. I like some of them especially seeing some dresses worn by celebrities was great. If you are in Paris or go there soon you can still visit the exhibition in the Grand Palais. It is open until 3 August. Opening times and general information can be found here. I can really recommend the exhibition. There are so many exhibits and the way they displayed the dresses was simply amazing. The music, the lights and the atmosphere was magical. The mannequins even had real faces projected on them. That looked a bit scary but also fascinating and cool. Now take a look and get an impression yourself.
