Yesterday I went to see the new exhibition “Modemethode” (in English: Fashion Method) of Karl Lagerfeld in the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, Germany. Being a HUGE Karl fan for years I was excited to visit the exhibition since the announcement a few months ago. Maybe I should tell you more about Karl and the times I saw him in Saint Tropez (in summer 2014 three times (!!!) in one week) in another post 🙂

So finally…yesterday was the day!!!!! Since my mum and my sister are Karl fans as well they accopanied me of course. Also, my aunt and my cousin joined us this time. We hopped on the train at about 9 am because we wanted to take most of the day as the journey took two hours and Bonn is a very beautiful city on the Rhine.

Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to take any photos but I found some online which I want to show you now. It was like a travel through time. They displayed dresses that Karl Lagerfeld designed for Balmain, Fendi, Chloé, Chanel and his own brand.

Look at all the beautiful dresses! It was also great to see the sketches first and how they turned into such masterpieces. Simply amazing!

For more information about the exhibition in English please click here.

You can visit the exhibition until 13 September 2015 so if you’re in the area go there!

Also, Vogue published a special edition. You can buy it right at the exhibition and it will be a supplement in the German May issue of Vogue.
