Ella Fitzgerald has put it in a nutshell in her song “I Love Paris”. Paris is wonderful all throughout the year. In summer I love to sit outside of those cute little Parisian cafés with a café au lait or take a stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries or along the Seine or go window shopping on Avenue Montaigne. Paris is also beautiful during the Christmas season. Department stores such as Galeries Lafayette put up massive Christmas decorations and the trees on streets like Avenue Montaigne or Avenue des Champs-Élysées are decorated with fairy lights. So beautiful! But even if you don’t visit Paris in winter it is still magical at night when all the sights are lit up. That’s the reason why Paris is also called “The City of Lights”. I can’t wait to be back in one of my favourite cities in the world tomorrow.
