The Liverpool Cathedral is one of Liverpool’s most famous landmarks, not only because of the beautiful architecture but also because of the stunning view from the top of the church tower. The cathedral was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott who is also the designer of the popular and famous red telephone boxes and the Battersea Power Station in London. As the Liverpool Cathedral is the longest cathedral in the world it was pretty impressive to see the church from the inside.
After getting an impression of the cathedral itself we made our way up to the church tower to see the view everybody is talking about and we weren’t disappointed at all. The view over Liverpool was amazing, especially on this sunny day.
Seeing the River Mersey from above was more than beautiful. Do you agree? 🙂
