If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you know that I have been in London last week. On Monday I went to the Louis Vuitton exhibition “Series 3” and it was truly amazing. I reserved the tickets online in advance (for free) to skip the queue. The exhibition is only open until October 18th so be quick to get an impression yourself. You can get your tickets here.
If you won’t get the chance to visit the exhibition yourself come and join me on my tour now.

In the first room there was a suitcase in the middle of the room and we were surrounded by big screens which showed different things like the new collection, models on a runway or various suitcases (Louis Vuitton originally started his business with selling suitcases with the famous logo we all know nowadays). Standing in this room felt very futuristic. I have never seen such a display before but I liked it because it was very modern and exclusive.

The next room was pretty futuristic as well. This mirrored room had several screens where you could get an insight in how the famous Louis Vuitton bags are made. Every single one of them is handmade and it takes about 30 hours to make one bag. It was very interesting to see the whole process and especially the camera angle made it more comprehensible and real.

The next room was all about the new collection and the runway show. Several screens and matching music made me feel like I was right there at the show. So amazing!

One of the highlights was the room where two of the Louis Vuitton employees were making the bags live. So many individual parts which have to be put together to become one of the famous bags. You need a lot of patience for that but the result is beautiful. Every woman dreams of owning a wonderful designer handbag, right? I found my perfect Little Black Karl Lagerfeld Bag in Paris 🙂

The white room displayed some of Louis Vuitton’s gorgeous pieces, again in a very futuristic way.

The London weather that day was a bit gloomy but we could see the popular London Eye from the exhibition building.

In the next room you could find some more pieces of the latest collection. To my mind it was gorgeous as always. What do you think? Do you like Louis Vuitton’s designs?

The final room was full of lots of fashion photos. I even spotted the beautiful Joan Smalls 🙂

The exhibition is being held at 180 Strand. Only a stone’s throw away from Somerset House and King’s College.
