Vancouver is one of the cities with a lot of contrasts. There is this stunning nature with mountains and the Pacific ocean on the one hand and the modern urban city centre with modern architecture and the old town on the other hand. The perfect place to get an impression of all this is Vancouver harbor. Take a stroll around there. I’m sure you’ll love it because this diversity is what makes Vancouver so special to me and I guess to many more people out there. It has something unique, something magical! If you haven’t been to Vancouver you can now join me on a tour around the harbor area and if you have been there let me know how you liked this part of Vancouver in the comments below 🙂

See the contrast?

New buildings in the making. It’s one of the cities that is always in progress.

So beautiful, isn’t it!? I just love the ocean and the mountains!!!

The white building in the back is Canada place, home of the Vancouver Convention Centre. And you can also see the famous Seaplanes in front of that.

And not to forget the beautiful Canada goose!

The Olympic Cauldron (torch) was built in 2010 for the Winter Olympics. I’ve seen some pictures on TV back then and when they lit the torch it looked so amazing!!!

The most beautiful time to visit the harbor is probably around sunrise or sunset. We went there in the evening and were welcomed by this breathtaking light!
