Hey everyone!
Sooo after New York City our next stop was Los Angeles which is mostly associated with Hollywood – the city where you can make your dreams come true and be successful. Well that’s not the case for everybody but anyways never stop dreaming and trying!
I never thought that L.A. would touch me in this special way but I guess that’s just the Californian Way of Life that makes me feel home in the city I have never been to before. The sunny and warm weather, beautiful beaches, nice people and just the positive vibe in general. I cannot describe the feeling I had when I walked along the coast in Santa Monica or sat in the car cruising down Sunset Boulevard with Katy Perry’s “California Girls” blasting out of the radio. Have you ever been to Los Angeles or somewhere else in California? Can you relate to me when it comes to this magical feeling? I hope you can because it’s one of the best things you can ever feel. You feel so carefree, happy and motivated and you don’t care what other people say.
We arrived at LAX airport and a shuttle bus took us to our hotel the Best Western Plus – Hollywood Hills Hotel. It was a typical American hotel with all the little apartments and a pool in the middle. So cool! We dropped our luggage and took a walk to the famous Hollywood Boulevard which was only a short walk from our hotel on Franklin Avenue. It was getting dark already but we wanted to get a first impression of the city we’ve just landed in. Normally you can’t go anywhere in L.A. without a car but luckily the Hollywood Boulevard area was just a short walk away.
The next morning we explored more of the neighbourhood and saw famous sights like the Kodak Theatre where the annual Acedemy Awards (better known as the Oscars) take place and the beautiful pagoda of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
