When you are following me on Twitter you might have seen my tweets about my next trip to….LONDON! Yes, I’m going to be back in one of my favourite cities in the world tomorrow and stay there for four days!! I can’t wait!!! Last time I’ve been there was last year in October so I’m so excited to be back after a few months. We’ve planned this trip so spontaneously. My mum and I chatted about Easter and she told me that she, my sister and my dad have a couple of days off after Easter so why shouldn’t we go on a city trip!? Since my mum has a fear of flying we thought about places we could reach by train or by car. Obviously London came across our minds so we talked about how to get there. The easiest way possible is to get in our car, head to Brussels and take the Eurostar to London St. Pancras International. And this is exactly what we’re going to do tomorrow. I always took the plane or bus/ferry to London in the past so I’m pretty excited for this adventure 🙂

Also I’m going to meet three friends of mine in London Town! One of them is a born and bred Londoner. She and my sister met during their internship in Nice, France and since then we always meet up when we’re in London and last year she came to visit us in Germany. German-British-Friendship hurray! I honestly think that having friends all over the world has so many advantages. I love speaking different languages, visiting new cities/countries and getting to know their culture. There are so many positive things about it. My sister and I are going to meet her for dinner and cocktails in the city.

The second girl I’m going to meet up with is a girl who I got to know during my internship in London. She’s from Berlin and we did a lot of fun things together such as the Celebrity Tour (read my post about it here), we went to the Harry Potter studios and Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. It was so much fun! We’ve been in contact since our internship ended but unfortunately we’ve never met afterwards. Now she’s back in London for another internship and I can’t wait to see her again after three years! Wow…time flies! If you’re interested in her new London adventures and her internship at a fashion showroom you should take a look at her blog which she recently launched.

The third girl is a girl that I got to know through Twitter. I know what you think now…”you’ve found a friend on the internet…seriously?”. Yes, I now that there are a lot of bad things happening online and usually I’m sceptical and careful when it comes to meeting people from the internet but I’ve been in contact with her best friend (who I also got to know through Twitter…thanks to Twitter btw) for a bit over a year now (!?) and those two girls are just so lovely. I had the chance to meet both of them in person during my last trip to London in October 2014 and it was great! They are just as lovely and kind as I expected and we promised to meet again soon 🙂 When the girl texted me saying that she’s going to be in London at the same time she asked if we could meet so of course I said yes! But hopefully I’ll see the other one soon again!! If you’re reading this right now: “I hope you come and visit me soon, L! Miss you xx”

I don’t want to mention any names in case they don’t want to appear on the internet but I’m super excited to meet all of them 🙂

Apart from those three meet ups I hope that I’m going to have a wonderful long weekend with my family in one of my favourite cities…or as I always like to say: my second home! My dad hasn’t been in London for a couple of years so I’m sure we are going to do the touristy stuff all over again but that’s what I like most and always enjoy.

Bye for now! I hope I can post some photos directly from London so make sure to follow me on Twitter.

xx
