There is literally so much to do and see in Los Angeles! So when you are planning your first trip to LA you are inundated with information. You have to find out where to stay, where to eat and what to do. Of course you have to visit and see popular sights such as the Hollywood Sign, the stars on Hollywood Boulevard or Venice Beach. The list goes on and on but among all those sights and places you have to decide on some of your favorites that are must-sees and have always been on your bucket list. I was in LA for only four days and I really had to cut my list down because you would probably need weeks or even months to explore everything or at least most of the City of Angels because there are just so many cool things to do! Runyon Canyon and Malibu are two places that I’m definitely gonna visit the next time I’m in the city so hopefully this will be very soon (maybe in November!?).
I think that you have seen most of the famous sights on TV or read about them in travel books so I won’t list them all here. If you would like to know what I’ve seen in LA you can read everything about my four days in LA in these blog posts:

Arrival and hotel in Hollywood

Michael Jackson Tour

Movie Stars’ Homes Tour

My favorite California Travel Guides and Websites

So instead of giving you a list of LA’s sights I thought it would be a great idea to give you some insider tips that you can experience in addition to the must-see places. Who could give you a better insider’s perspective and insider tips than a native Angelino? So I asked my friend Layla if she was up for a little interview and luckily she said yes 🙂

Layla has her own blog called LA Travel Girl. She spends half of her time living in her hometown Los Angeles which she absolutely loves and the other half of her time travelling the world. So here’s our little interview about her favorite places in LA and California.

Favorite breakfast/lunch/dinner places

I’m not a huge club person but I like in Santa Monica: The Bungalow, Rooftop Shangri-La and in Downtown: Villains Tavern & Ace Hotel rooftop… Hollywood is a shit show!
